In 2004, when I met, Pietro Ferrera, the men that 2 years after would become my husband, I was seduced by the greatness of his heart.
Like him, I had great difficulties in my life, such as the needs. When he explains to me what he had done in the past for people in need through Projaide, I was touch. When we were talking about Projaide we decided to bring it to the next level, so to make it a recognized organism.
Everything went as planed. Today Projaide as grown and thanks to ours givers we can now help more people in needs. We give our time, our efforts and we know today that when we give we receive even more then what we give.
Thank you, to all the people who gives to our cause and to all people who visit our site. From the bottom of our hearts, we found such a joy to give, to see a smiling face on someone who thought there wasn’t hope anymore. We found joy in little thing in life.

Historique
Projaide was founded in 1995 by Pietro Ferrera.
After many circumstances, difficulties, deceptions, misfortunes Pietro find himself on the street for three years. His family thought he was dead, having no news from him for those 3 years. After being arrested and charged, he was put in prison for a year.
During that year his heart was completely transformed. When he got out of prison, he started to work and created his own company and began to help others in need, knowing himself what it was.
This is how Projaide came to life. For many years, working by himself, Pietro helps whoever comes to him telling him their needs. Even though he had his own company to take of, he always had an ear to listen to exhort, to encourage people with their many problems such as: toxicomanie, troubles of many kinds. For many people he gave some work within his company and that give them some security and a way to believe they were worth something knowing someone who care for them. He help people for what they needed.
For many years, he organized once a month dinners to feed families in need in Ahuntsic area and giving them food and clothing after the meal.
He gave transportation to elderly people in need and offers a house cleaning service for them.
In 2005, he helps an organism that gives food in Ahuntsic area; he gave a lot of his time to help that organism to be stable.
It’s in 2005 that his wife decide to start the procedure to incorporate the organism, to be a recognized (Organisme de bienfaisance) with the Government of Canada. On December 12, 2005 Projaide become a non profitable organism incorporated and on march 22, 2007 Projaide become officially know and registered.
